Open Question: My best friend and godfather to my kid is teaching him some bad stuff. Should I still let him babysit?

My pal is an awesome guy but he doesn't quite understand what it means to be a parent. But about a year ago he offered to babysit for a day so that my wife and I could have a nice, relaxing night by ourselves. At first we were skeptical but the boy came home and he really enjoyed himself and asked when he could go again. So now it's nice of like a monthly thing. But my son is 7 and everything my retard pal does he picks up like a sponge. For instance we told my pal that we try and restrict his sugar intake. But the first thing he did was to go out and buy 200$ worth of candy and cookies. He has also thought him how to swear, play poker with his buddies and got him interested in boxing. Also he sometimes smokes cigars and they bet on games together. You know the kid loves his uncle but I'm worried about the influence he has on him. My wife and I were talking. Maybe we should cease with the sleepovers that he has with his uncle? But I know how much my pal loves our son so maybe that is a bit harsh?

Open Question: What is the name of this book from 2002 or later?

Ten years ago, in the winter, I took my first Literature Class in middle school. Our professor (who I've bumped into several times in the years) read us a story about a man who wanted to become wealthy of some sort. The way he did this was he came across a man who taught him the precognition of the cards in poker by studying a flame on a candle. I remember my Professor explaining vividly how the candle had red, then blue, then a tiny white flicker inside. The book was something we read along with The Tripod Trilogy, but there is no correlation between the book authors. Merely the books we read during the term. Again, the missing book revolves around a man who is trained/studies/is taught by another to focus on a flame of a candle to meditate and think of the cards faces and numbers as they arrive to his mind. This has fascinated me immensely, and even my Professor has no idea to this day, as he doesn't recall the story very well but remembers speaking about the flame. Can you help? i had a group interview for a job as poker dealer.Ive been a dealer for 4 years and going into the interview i thought they would have us deal at a table to watch our skills in a variety of games.We were divided into 2 groups of about 8 each.They said we would only deal 2 hands each of nl hold em,the easiest game to deal.After that we switched with the other group and were asked a couple of questions such as,how did you wow a customer?,or what do you like most about your job?The confusing part is every the answers were pretty much the same.I tried to talk up and answer,but not be a bully,i also didnt want to just sit there and say nothing as a few people did.How is this type of interview helpfull in picking poker dealers?dealing 2 hands is not enough to look peoples ability.They said they got over 1000 applicants and i dont understand how they are distinguishing from canidate a and b.

A lesbian is someone who has strong sexual and romantic attractions to females right? I'm 19, and not once can I remember having that about other girls. Open Question: Strip poker go too far?

My wife and I have played strip poker a few times before with friends. We always quit when everyone got down to their underwear. The other weekend we were at a party with friends and some strangers and ended up in a game of strip poker. I had no reason to believe this would be any different than the other times we played with these friends ( there were a couple of strangers we just met that night too). I was down to my pants and my wife was in her underwear, so i assumed she would cease playing. I left to go to the bathroom and refill our drinks and when i came back she lost had lost her panties. I was totally shocked. She was sitting indian style like she had the whole game. No effort to hide her very wide open vagina. No one make any big deal of it so i handed her the drink and played the next hand. This new guy we didn't know lost next and was going to loose his boxers. When playing poker at a casino, usually the topic of that particular casino's bad beat jackpot comes up around the table. Last night we started discussing what would be an appropriate tip for the dealer. Open Question: My bench grinder just stopped?

So I have a brand new Porter Cable 6 inch bench grinder. It's variable speed, has a gooseneck lamp, and is 2.5 amps. It was working great for the past week I've had it. But I put a buffing wheel on one side so I could buff metal. For the first few times, buffing brass and aluminum was easy. But I tried buffing my brass flame poker, and I have been keeping the grinder running for 35 minutes straight. I've put every the wheels on correctly, had every the bolts tight, but in the middle of buffing on a medium wheel, the grinder just suddenly turned off. It might be over heated, because the enclosure's pretty warm. It does not run at every, as even if I turn on the switch, nothing happens. it does not even hum. the outlet is okay, as the power is still coming through. please help me, I thought it was a nice grinder.

I am hosting a poker tournament, starting around 5:30 PM. There are 8 players, with 500 chips in play. The chip total makes 12000. The play will continue until there are only 4 players left in the game. (it's a semi-final) The blinds will be raised every half an hour, by doubling the tiny blind. How long do you think this poker tournament will last? Would you change anything? so if my starting tiny blind is 10 and big blind is 20, how often should i up the blind to ensure that the game ends (4 players are eliminated) at approx 8:30pm?

Things had been rough for a few months, but the nail in the coffin was when she found out that I'm a gambling addict and where most of my income comes from. Hermes birkin bags, the apple mac computers, the jewellery, the louis vuitton bags and shoes, every of the prada and chanel watches, the flatscreen tvs, she has not returned any of those stuff to me, yet she has made it abundantly clear that she finds my activities disgusting and our relationship is over. every of the gifts I gave her total more than £10,000, however the gifts she gave me total less than £200. Do you think its hypocritical of her to keep every of those stuff after she broke up with me for earning money through gambling? If I give her back every the cheap gifts that she gave me, do you think that will prompt her to give me back the expensive stuff I gave her? I really don't want the things back, I just can't take her acting every sanctimonious and trying to be morally better than me, saying that she is disgusted by me, every while enjoying the rewards from my gambling. Open Question: My dad drank after 10 months sober?

im 16 and my mom went out of town yesterday and will be back in a few days. my dad was an alcoholic before i was born and stopped drinking until i was 15. it got really bad and he went to rehab and had stopped drinking for 10 months. i was so proud of him for getting through this and i told him i was proud of him. last night though he went to go play poker with some of his friends which he does about once a month and never drinks even though his friends do. he said he would be back at 12 but he never showed up until this morning. i found a budweiser can close the computer. i feel this is every my fault. im gay and i think he knows and i dont no if hes okay with it and i feel its every my fault. im so unhappy right now. what should i say to him today when he wakes up. sorry this is long i just really needed to say every this. plz help he didnt just drink one beer. when he drinks he drinks alot. i went into our garage he just got a new masarati and there is a big dent on the side.

She started saying i shouldn't be with a guy like him and that gentlemen don't do that stuff. I tried talking to her, but she won't hear. she seriously has issues! So i was wondering, is it wrong for a man to beat a lady in poker?

Open Question: poker websites, not real money?

i am looking for a poker website that is pretty good. nice of like Poker Stars or something along those lines. Except i dont want to use real money, does anybody know of any websites that is good poker without using real money? Much help would be appreciated!
