Open Question: Need an intermediate poker guide?

Anyone know any good guides that would help me improve my poker skills? I know every the rules and everything but I'd like to learn more about when to bet. So if anyone knows any guide that explains when to bet please post it. Also random question. If two people have two pairs and the highest pairs are equal, is the winner decided by the second pair or the highest card?

Is this illegal or just unethical? There is a free poker league in VA and people play at bars and if you win at the bar then you receive some money usually no more than $75 1st place and then a sit in to a regional tournament and if you win you go to Los Vegas to play in a big tournament. So last week my fiance was playing and the owner of the league was playing and it came down to the 2 of them so my fiance says do you just want to chop the pot and split the money and the owner says no you have to win so my fiance is like ok whatever so my fiance gets 2nd place and the owner takes the money and does not let him in the regional. My fiance was really upset because the owner is not aloud to do that so the next week my fiance asks one of the the hosts it if he is aloud to do that and the guy says no thats not right so he asks the owner if my fiance can play and the owner says no! Well they played together again at the same table and the owner lost to my fiance and then says I was going to let you play in the regional but not anymore! Is this legal? We have like 9 people who were at the table and were like oh thats sucks thats not right! This is my fiances only hobby and he is so upset about this! he doesn't even want to go back and play anymore cause this guy is always breaking the rules just because he is the owner! Is there anything we can do? I don't think there are league officials or anything. Its free poker anyone can play every you do is sign up.

Open Question: Why is there a pervert in my bathtub?

Every time I go to the bathroom, he is ALWAYS there, and I keep telling him to receive out, but he just won't leave. Open Question: I don't have enough money in my bank to cover my Echeck to online gambling site. What's gonna happen?

This wasn't at every intentional. I have a gambling addiction and I was very drunk one night. I didn't realize that echecks dont clear right away. So I deposited about 600 USD via echeck to an online gambling site. I lost it every. Then I checked my online bank account and was like "Oh I still have $650?!" (Granted, I was very drunk) I made a deposit with my debit card for 500 bucks on a different site, which went through right away. The next morning I realized that the echecks didn't go through yet, and now I only have like 50 bucks in my bank account, and 600 bucks that still haven't gone through yet. So, my question is...what can I expect to happen? I have family who can bail me out of problems, but I at least first need to know what I'm getting into. Is the gambling site going to receive the money and put my checking account at about a negative $500? Or Will the checks be rejected, and nothing happen with my bank accounts, just my poker account go into a negative balance and my account locked? If anyone knows the answers as to what is going to happen, please let me know. I realize it was stupid and I am going to seek treatment for my gambling problem. Its was very foolish and I will never allow myself to do anything that stupid again. Can anyone tell me what to expect to happen? Thanks! -Cory

Open Question: Poker - Trying to find a real game?

I recently took up a big interest in poker (primarily Hold'em) and would adore to find some real games that went around. I've plowed through three poker books (including Brunson's Super System) and have been playing a ridiculous amount online. I do have some problems with online poker. 1. Not only is it incredibly difficult to spot tells or betting patterns because people shuffle tables so often, but the games seem so non-personal that I receive bored way more quickly. It's not that I start to dislike poker (not at every), but rather that I want to interact with others when doing so. I keep reading about "finding local games" and things of that sort, but I have no idea where to even start finding these. I live in Florida (nowhere close a casino that I know of, and besides, casinos are 'eh' to me) so I don't have Atlantic City or Vegas or anything like that. I would be far more into a home game or a regular game place. Does anybody have any suggestions or do I have to wish to receive lucky and meet someone who happens to run a weekly poker game?

Open Question: Thai black magic / occult...............?

I met someone very adept at this, particularly in divination via cards (non-tarot, poker cards). He was able to tell me some things no one should be able to tell. I'll leave it as that. Suffice to say that some of the details were things like the exact day someone i know died, what my first girlfriend's name was, etc. He used the cards to divine my current and future states, then asked questions out noisy to the spirits. I play poker in a free poker league hosted by venues every across town where I live. This league is brought in by a legitiment company who has a contract with the venue itself. The company is payed off depending on the amount of people that it draws to the venue. This is a legitiment company that follows the official poker rules. Is it or is it not right for the owner of the poker league to sitin on the poker playin itself and end up taking the prize if he wins?

I got the dreaded blue screen of death whilst playing online poker, and my computer hasnt recovered since. close the top of the blue screen it had this code - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL So that's the info I got from the blue screen. I then turned the computer off and back on again. This time I tried F8 to try and launch safe mode or remedy the problem. But this time it went to a black screen with white writing. The message read - 'The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum' It gets worse...Now when I try to load it up the monitor now wont work. The power light on the computer comes on and makes a few beeps, but when I switch the monitor on it just goes straight to power saving mode and doesn't actually arrive on or display anything. Another thing I've noticed is that now when the computer is switched off the mouse light and lights on the keyboard stay on, even though the system is off! This never used to happen before. Any ideas?

Open Question: I need some online Poker tips and Strategies?

I want to start my online poker account soon but I need some tips. My causing has let me play on his account(fulltilt) many times and I have learned how to play but I need to play better .I am not planning to make good income playing poker but I do want to make few bucks here and there. The last tournament I won for my causing because he had to to leave had a reward of 60$ which was nice. I won 3 out of 3 tournaments what he would ask me to finish for him and I have won some on my possess but since it's his account I would only risk about 2$ per tournament he risks more. Here are some neat strategies that I have developed . I have found a way to take advantage of pressure players by pretending to hassitate and once they pot me and expect me to fold I double it up and at that point its really difficult for them to fold.(I do this when i have good cards) I also switch my playing style from playing only when i have good cards to bluffing and playing almost every hand during the cource of the tournament. I never go every in before the flop and when I chose when to pot lift or fold I do it really quick so its difficult for them to read me. Do you have any tips because I am a noob but a very cautios one? good one. did not I say "I have found a way to take advantage of pressure players by pretending to hassitate and once they pot me and expect me to fold I double it up and at that point its really difficult for them to fold

After a very ugly break-up with my bf (he told me he only sees women as sex objects, and never liked me as a pal), I decided to clip him off from my life. I suffered a lot. Well my nana was officially dead today at 5:45 p.m although she died last night and I knew this was coming for but I don't regret anything (said sorry to her for holding a grudge this summer) but I feel empty... while when I was talking to my uncle and he was on the verge of tears so I changed the subject talking about cellphones. Long story short my nana has gotten nine operations in 12 years, my crazy, sucicidal aunt, has been begging for money we don't have and my mom fought (and won) breast cancer, my dad though he won a million bucks when he only won a thousand and we were almost in deep financial trouble and there was a tornado in my area last year and I almost had gotten killed from it? Open Question: questoins about lake mead and poker chips?

i heard something about a casino and the casino dumping there used chips into the lake in the 30"s and i was wondering would they still be in the lake by now would they be difficult too find?
